WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Bronchial Asthma, a classic condition known to affect the respiratory tract due to various factors such as genetic inheritance, external allergen stimuli and many more, often causes excessive mucous production, constrictions of airway diameter and swelling of the inner lining of respiratory tract, An asthmatic attack is often the result of such changes! An array of symptoms such as wheezing (a whistling sound when you breathe), chest tightness, shortness of breath, and coughing manifest making it close to impossible to breathe!

The importance of an immediate relief brought about an inhaler for a wheezing asthmatic individual is undeniable. However, many asthmatics frequently fail to control the severity of the above mentioned symptoms in the long run and suffer compromises in the many facets of life. Physicians have now turned to methods of rehabilitating the chest and maximizing lung capacity originally derived from ancient yogic Pranayama techniques.

  • Visualisation techniques to combat stress that triggers asthmatic attached to reduce frequency.
  • Teach techniques to enhance sense of smell to those having chronic nose block/impaired smell sense.
  • Important tips to correct body posture that can improve breathing.
