Yoga Mail

The entire day of June 21 2018 saw all seven MAYI Yoga Academy centres bustling with avid yoga practitioners. The academy offered a wide array of free yoga classes to its students and members of the public in conjunction with the International Day of Yoga. Keeping true to MAYI’s pledge to provide an avenue for practitioners with different preferences and styles, the classes offered included Yoga Asana classes of varying intensity (beginner, intermediate, advanced), Breath & Mind Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Anti-Ageing Yoga, Wellness Yoga, and Precision & Alignment. Many fellow students rushed in to sign up for the monthly and annual yoga membership which were offered at an unbeatable price!

Apart from the yoga session, MAYI also organised a Yoga BookFest at all the participating centres to satisfy the inner bookworms who have been in search of some inspiring reads. Titles include yoga asana, philosophies of different streams of yoga and gurus, yoga wellness, self-development, and life inspiration, just to name a few. Those who purchased the book on that day were given a special on-the-day rebate.

But it didn’t end here.

On June 24 2018, MAYI Yoga Academy conducted another mass public yoga session at One City Mall, Subang Jaya to accommodate practitioners who were unable to turn up on the 21st of June. Admission was free and participants were presented with goodie bags containing some refreshments, Yoga and Ayurveda vouchers, and a copy of the Yoga Mail, a quarterly publication of the academy. Other than the one-hour rejuvenating yoga session, participants were treated to performances by not only adults but also children yoga practitioners. Their focus, teamwork and wonderful on-stage presence were truly an inspiration for the crowd. The event saw the participants leaving with a renewed commitment to continue with their yoga practices for a holistic wellbeing.

Apart from these events, MAYI Yoga Academy was also invited to conduct yoga sessions by various establishments:

  • Kandiah Hall, Brickfields (21st June 2018)
  • Mercure Hotels (21st June 2018)
  • Victoria Institution (24th June 2018)
  • Thiruvalluvar Hall, Port Klang (23rd June 2018)

It was a meaningful eventful week!
